THE FACTS:
A world-class movie making facility in Santa Fe
*Created by CEO Lance Hool, a veteran film producer, Santa Fe Studios will be a state-of-the-art major motion picture facility in the Santa Fe County Business Park, featuring four soundstages, back lot, and post-production facilities.
*A bi-cultural family holding dual nationality with Mexico and the US, the Hool family has conceived Santa Fe Studios as a world-class facility designed with the highest respect for environmental sustainability and for New Mexico’s unique sense of place.
Santa Fe Studios intends to house film and production classrooms that will be made available to Santa Fe public schools and surrounding institutions such as Santa Fe Community College, New Mexico Highlands University, and the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA).
*Renowned architect Gary Bastien has created building plans utilizing Anasazi principles of traditional architecture and sacred geometry, as well as LEED-certified practices such as recycled materials, passive heating and cooling, water conservation and native landscaping.

*Between 2003 and 2007, more than $486 million has been spent by film production companies working in New Mexico, translating into a financial impact of more than $1.458 billion on the state.
High-paying jobs, big economic impact
*Santa Fe Studios is expected to employ up to 500 New Mexicans, generating an annual payroll impact of $71 million to the local economy.
The demand for film production in the state is rising
*Between 2003 and 2007 the economic impact on Santa Fe County alone was over $520 million. 32 major motion pictures were shot in Santa Fe County in this five year period, demonstrating a high demand for production facilities in the area.
